National Vietnam Veterans Longitudinal Study Registry - Registry & Data Repository

The National Vietnam Veterans Longitudinal Study (NVVLS) Registry is housed in the Seattle Epidemiologic Research and Information Center and composed of two parts: a registry and a data repository. The NVVLS Registry is available for use by both VA and non-VA investigators.

Registry

The Registry is a database of contact information for a cohort of female and male Veterans who served in the United States (US) military during the time of the Vietnam conflict (1964-1975). The NVVLS Registry is a VA CSP resource constructed from data collected via a longitudinal study with two time points; (NVVRS) 1988 and (NVVLS) 2013. The Registry of names and contact information includes only individuals who participated in both time points. Learn more about the History & Formation of the NVVLS Registry.

Data Repository

The NVVLS Registry maintains study data in its data repository. The NVVLS data repository includes data collected from NVVRS, NVVLS, studies utilizing the Registry, and Registry maintenance procedures. The Seattle ERIC has complete stewardship of the full NVVRS dataset that can be accessed for research purposes.
